Limestone head of male statue of the Achaemenid period in Persian style

This limestone head wears a laurel wreath with beads or acorns below. The stylized treatment of the hair and beard is in a Cypriot tradition with Assyrian and Persian influences. The head dates from around 475–450 BC.
